Two Rotary Exchange Students, who have been studying at Paraparaumu College for the past 10 months, have recently visited Kapiti Island for the day.
Octavie De Groote is from France, and Antonia Cruse from Germany, and are being hosted by Rotary families during their 12 month visit to New Zealand.
The students found the excursion to the Island most interesting. ‘We really enjoyed the fantastic bird life and wonderful scenery, and did not really appreciate until arriving on the Island, just how unique the environment is. We have had the good fortune to visit many parts of New Zealand so far, but Kapiti Island is one of the top highlights. All that natural excitement, and it is only a few minutes away by boat. We also really appreciated the hospitality and expert wild-life tour and explanations given to us by Kapiti Island nature Tours Staff during our stay’ said Octavie.
The students return to their respective countries in July.
